The initial issue of this banknote was honored as the Banknote of the Year by the International Bank Note Society (IBNS) in 2008.
Condition
Crisp UNC uncirculated condition.
Many modern notes have a security thread that may show some bubbling, or a dimple, at the top of the note at the strip. In the printing process, when the notes are run through high speed counters, a dimple is created where the strip is on the top of the note
(sometimes called a counting tick)
. This does not disqualify the note as UNC.

Samoa's national bird, the Manumea, (or Samoan pigeon—
