    Description

The Cook Islands 3 Dollar banknote was released by the Government of the Cook Islands in 1992 with a pick number P-7a to pay tribute to the major islands of the country. Just like all other banknotes from the series, this pink paper bill features on its obverse worshippers in front a church with cemetery and palm trees. The note also displays a ship, shells, and flowers. The reverse of the note illustrates three women and two men dancers in its center. On the left is a shell, the map of AITUTAKI and MANAUE, and two male drummers. Portrayed on the right are bananas, a ship, a blue lorikeet bird, and fish with corals. The banknote also bears AITUTAKI lettering on the top center. The banknote is 150 x 75 mm in size and carries a solid security thread. It also has a watermark that reflects a sea turtle. This particular Cook Islands 3 Dollars has been given a grade of 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
